It’s April and the weather isn’t bad… for February. Spring has been wet and late. I’m working on my first new fantasy story in a while, though, and I have a shiny new desktop computer that doesn’t crash randomly like my old laptop did.
Last summer, I re-designed the covers of my Anamat/Dragonsfall series. In the past few weeks I’ve made print versions of those new cover designs which should be available shortly. I also moved the Dragonsfall trilogy into the Anamat series to make it more clear that this is a complete five book series, although I think you can still jump in at book three.
To mark the occasion, a newly revised version of Scrapplings is now available for free in all of the major ebook stores and some lesser-known stores. The revisions were driven by the fact that a lot of readers complained of slow pacing, so I trimmed some of the middle sections of the book. I added a prologue, a scene that happens decades after the end of the series and hints at what’s to come. While I was at it, I made a few minor line edits, too.
That’s the news.
